Natural gas adds to advance after supply report (by Claudia Assis)
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures added to gains Thursday after a government inventories report showed a smaller-than-expected increase in supplies of the product. Natural gas for May delivery (ngk11) added 4 cents, or 0.8%, to $4.34 per million British thermal units. It had traded at $4.32 before the report. The Energy Information Administration showed an increase of 47 billion cubic feet to underground storage tanks of natural gas in the week ended April 15. Analysts polled by Platts had expected an addition of 49 to 53 billion cubic feet.
