Triggered the thought to look at the SI options just now.

At end of year when I was following the options to see what may be learned, the Open Interest was HUGE, in the thousands of contracts for both puts and calls.

This was SIH11 Mar contract. Would have to hunt for the actual expiration date, but not the point.

For that SI contract month the Open interest was HUGE.

NOW, for SIN11 July futures contract, options expiring 6/27/11 there is HARDLY any open interest on the PUT side but quite a bit on the CALLS [JUST eye balling the OOM options.]

So, if anything can be read into this ???? Things are very heavily weighted to the Call side, as if NO ONE is betting on Silver going down at the moment !!!!

Would be curious if any thoughts come to mind on the option open interest.
