Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open Mixed as of 7:15 a.m. CDT
25 minutes ago
Corn: New-crop corn contracts continued to draw closer to old-crop issues as traders turned their attention to the former. However, the underlying fundamentals are growing less bullish, possibly leading to additional noncommercial selling.
Soybeans: Buying interest was limited in the bean market by spillover pressure from the other grains and a bearish weekly export inspections report.
Wheat: Despite continued weather issues in all three wheat markets HRW (too dry), SRW (too wet) and HRS (planting delays), noncommercial selling has the trend on the verge of turning down.
Live Cattle: Triple-digit losses were posted in live cattle contracts on follow-through selling by both sides of the market, strengthening the downtrend in the process.
Cotton: While the trend of the market remains sideways it is threatening to turn down after sharp losses were posted Monday on selling by both commercial and noncommercial traders.
