Today's Market View
Corn Futures Expected to Open 3 to 9 Higher at 7:15 a.m.
Corn: Corn rallied sharply again Wednesday on follow-through buying from both sides of the market due to the general consensus acreage will be lost and stocks will tighten, not grow, in 2011-2012.
Soybeans: The other grains supported beans to a certain extent Wednesday. However, strong buying was noted once again from the commercial side, reflecting a more bullish stance by this side of the market.
Wheat: Dwindling production prospects domestically and globally due to excessive rains and drought means stocks could tighten dramatically in coming months from current USDA estimates.
Live Cattle: Ideas demand will continue to slow and feed costs will rise due to the sharp increase in corn prices recently led to heavy selling by both sides of the market in the June contract Wednesday.
Cotton: Cotton's rally was modest in comparison to the other ag markets but gains were still solid on continued commercial interest tied to increasingly bullish fundamentals.
