Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open 3 to 5 Higher as of 7:15 a.m.

Corn: The new-crop December contract unsuccessfully tested the previous high for the fourth time in five sessions in large part due to spillover noncommercial pressure from the old-crop market.

Soybeans: The soybean market held up relatively well Tuesday by ignoring the sharp losses in corn and wheat as the new-crop November contract rallied on planting delays.

Wheat: Noncommercial long liquation led to sharp losses in all three wheat markets with additional pressure tied to follow-through commercial selling.

Live Cattle: Live cattle contracts closed well off session lows on follow-through noncommercial selling, though the nearby June was able to settle higher tied to renewed commercial interest.

Cotton: The weaker dollar and unfriendly weather forecasts for growing areas sparked a limit-up move in new-crop December cotton on strong buying from both sides of the market.
