And yet a nice rebound today. No wonder given the extent of the heat wave expected to develop over the US east by the end of the weekend. By Monday high temperatures will range from mid 90's - 100 over nearly all of TX, to near 90 as far north as northern NY state. Compounding this will be a very moist flow from the Gulf of mexico and off the SE atlantic seaboard that will raise the heat index to near 100 in many locales. Tuesday will be hot as well but it will cool over the northeast Wednesday as a strong cold front pushes into Michigan, Ohio and NY and later through New England. For the rest of the east and TX, temperatures will reamain above to well above normal through the remainder of the week.
