Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open Steady as of 7:15 a.m
20 minutes ago
Corn: Corn contracts closed well off session lows, setting the stage for a possible end-of-the-week sell-off Friday, though the December issue did post a new contract high Thursday as it grows more bullish technically.
Soybeans: The new-crop market outperformed old-crop by posting double-digit gains as talk bean acreage will increase substantially in 2011 begins to erode.
Wheat: Sharp gains in Minneapolis wheat led to a fresh contract high for the July contract, providing strong spillover support to the other wheat markets.
Live Cattle: In a quiet session, cattle contracts gave back a portion of Wednesday's sharp gains due to a lack of follow-through buying interest from either side of the market.
Cotton: A bearish export sales report showing old-crop cancellations and sluggish new-crop sales Thursday morning led to sharp losses in cotton.
