All of the follow up posts, both yours and Normas make sense to me.

At the out set, I was only trying to understand what you meant by this comment:

I still don't. I now assume you meant "across the board" for Corn in general, i.e. all nearby contracts, Jul, Sep, Dec. ???

I sure don't want to belabor this.
