Sorry rabbit. But No I can't overlay the recent Silver chart onto the 1979-80 chart as the software only overlays on the same time frames to compare. Otherwise one would have to line up each overlay on the same time frame or the comparisons wouldn't make sense. I guess one could print off that chart I posted of the 1979-80 Silver rally and compare it with a printed off copy the recent run up. They wouldn't overlay perfectly in any case as the run up back then was 5 months and this latest rally was more like 8 months but with a faster sell off this time. Also the 'topping period' back then was about 6 weeks and this time was only one week before the plunge. So the time frames for the rally and topping period and likely the ultimate low are different so wouldn't overlay for that reason. But the chart patterns are similar and typical of a parabolic rally that ends and plunges as they all do.
