Grain question

Anybody have a quick answer to the following. I read today that part of the reason for high grain prices is that farmers are reluctant to sell any of their stored grain. Other than the obvious reason that the farming community believes much higher prices are still ahead, why wouldn't they part with their products(corn and beans, but mainly corn)at these fantastic prices? Greed? Me thinks that's the reason. If true, you know what that'll get you most times. sigh
