Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open 4 to 6 Higher as of 7:15 a.m. CDT
21 minutes ago
Corn: The corn market rallied well off session lows by the close Thursday, sparked by strong commercial buying as near-term demand remains strong, as indicated by the firming DTN national corn basis.
Soybeans: Follow-through commercial buying allowed bean contracts to remain on the plus side throughout Thursday's session, reflecting a more bullish supply and demand situation.
Wheat: Chicago wheat struggled Thursday as the recent noncommercial short-covering activity took a pause after the sharp rally over recent days.
Live Cattle: Overbought conditions and bearish fundamentals as indicated by the strong carry in futures spreads pulled live cattle contracts to near limit-down (3-cent) losses.
Cotton: Cotton retreated to limit-down (4-cents) trade Thursday after comments by Ben Bernanke that the Fed would not implement a stimulus package at this point in time.
