Some minor changes in the overall pattern are starting to emerge, especially in the mid-west where temperatures will revert to seasonal values next week. The east coast, gulf coast states, TX, NM, AZ and NV should have above to well above average temperatures, with near normal conditions elsewhere .
This week looks quite wet to start over the eastern 1/3 of the country as a warm and very wet low pressure system moves through the north-eastern seaboard. The tropics are rather active but there are as of yet no indications that a hurricane will develop that poses a risk to the US mainland, although there is one disturbance well east of the Carribean that may develop through the week. It would not be a good week to visit Bermuda, if you are so-inclined.
