One killed in French nuclear plant blast: BBC (by Greg Morcroft)
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- One person was killed and three were injured on Monday in a blast at a French nuclear power plant, and the event poses a risk of a radioactive leak, according to a report. The BBC reported that the explosion followed a fire at the plant in the Gard region of the country. The report also said that the facility is a major site used in the decommissioning of other nuclear plants, and that it operates a reactor used to produce tritium.
