Greece's Papandreou to offer to resign: report (by MarketWatch)

FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) -- Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou is expected to offer his resignation Thursday, the BBC reported, citing unnamed sources. Papandreou is set to meet with Greek President Karolos Papoulis immediately after the conclusion of an emergency cabinet meeting, the report said, with Papandreou expected to clear the way for a coalition government headed by Lucas Papademos, a former European Central Bank vice president.
