FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) -- Euro-zone M3, the broadest measure of money supply, saw annual growth slow to 2.6% in October from 3% in September, the European Central Bank said Monday. Economists had forecast growth to accelerate to a 3.5% pace. The three-month average annual growth rate for M3 rose to 2.8% in the August-October period from 2.6% in the previous three months, the ECB said, while annual growth of loans to the private sector rose to 2.7% in October from 2.5%.
