Soybeans ?? NTR

Hi,
Has anyone run into, or know anything on this ???

I have never encountered Soybeans being marketed in the grocery store as a "fresh/frozen vegetable item".

Maybe I am just not that observant and a creature of habit on some things.

Just bought a "microwave steamer package" of soybeans in the pod, I cooked them up. They looked just like "peas in the pod" which I will normally eat it all, including the pod.

Just happened to notice the big note - don't eat the PODs !!!!!

OK, so I didn't. The shelled beans are sort of like small lima beans and are pretty good.

Have to admit that I'm not that interested in shelling out all of the beans, but .....

Has anyone had any experience with this ??? What's with the pods - just don't taste very good?? I doubt they are "poison" !!!!????

Thanks, Lee
