You might want to check out binary options or vanilla options. They are short term and highly leveraged. They are not traditional long term options that require a lot of time decay/theta and so on analysis. Go to NADEX.com to check them out. PfgBest just started offering Nadex binaries as well. If you like to daytrade or swing trade, then this should be a good profit center for you. The guys with canes here don't know what they are.--lol It would be a good pace to start...no matter what size account you have. Trading traditional options IMHO is only good for a hedge as you indicated.
