Obama says he has stabilized economy (by Greg Robb)
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - President Barack Obama said Monday that his administration has managed to stabilize the economy and the challenge now is to take it to the next level. In an interview on NBC News 'Today' program, Obama said that the political system has made it hard to bring about the change he promised in his first presidential campaign in 2008. But Obama said his administration has been "very persistent" and has been "plodding along" in the right direction. "One of the things about being president is you get better as time goes on," Obama said. He predicted that he would be able to win reelection if he can make a "persuasive argument about how we are going to recreate a sold path for middle class success."
