i use to be responsible for a few big stocks on the floor with my firm... when the nyse - tse currency spread was out of line .25 cents i could run the arbs.. want to fill those orders on either side eh... you pull a quick .125 or .25 on 50,000 shares is nice.. keeps the boss happy.. risk free profits with the live phone connection back in the day.....
