Things have changed a lot in the last 7or 8 years. China, India - much more demand globally. The world will not permit us to have 30 dollar oil ever again. The oil is going to go to whoever offers the best price. And fossil fuels do cause global warming. That is a scientific truth. But the question is not is it going to happen, but rather how do we deal with it. I do believe that oil is expensive enough now to encourage the efficiencies necessary to reduce CO2 but reducing CO2 will be the byproduct. Reducing waste and expense should be the goal, and Americans are smart enough to do that without help from the policy people.
