Yes, and I'm not going to pretend to address this completely/correctly.
But there are often "unintended side effects" as we say in the software world .....
Like "more green" absorbs more heat from the sun than a lighter color. As in "we had considerably less ground snow cover" this winter than many. This results in less reflected energy from the sun and more absorbed heat.
If you doubt this, study glider flying. A large black asphalt parking lot and a glider will convince you.
So which came first, the chicken or the egg ?? I'm not going to try to get into here, maybe it's just the way the winter got started !!! Or those 11 year sun spot cycles at it again !!???
