WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Orders for goods produced in U.S. factories dropped 1.5% in March, the biggest decline in three years, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch expected orders to fall by 1.6%. Factory orders rose a revised 1.1% in February, down from a prior estimate of 1.3% growth. Orders for durable goods - products meant to last at least three years - sank 4% in March. Orders for nondurable goods rose 0.5%.
