His fighting a billion dollar tax bill has nothing to do with the federal estate tax, state inheritance tax, or any tax wherein the money has already been taxed (although diviends have aready been taxed once, so perhaps that is the exception).
When the wealth has been acquired and taxed, why should the entity that accumultad the estate NOT be able to determine where it goes.
Charity, family, neighbors, or some old lady's cat.
Who else "deserves" it? Other than the designee of the owner.
It has nothing to do with "deserve", it has to do with what is "right".
