Temperatures generally above normal across the lower 48, with the exception of the SW where it will be well above normal and the Pacific NW where as has been usual this year it will run slightly cooler than normal.
This week features a jet stream well to the N, a progressive ridge over the west and a weak but sharpening tough over the East. Very warm in the W, with the warmth spreading across the plains toward the end of the week, and quite wet in the east with clearing and milder conditions by the weekend. An upper disturbance may bring some dry lighting to the northern California and Nevada Sierra later today and Tuesday.
Close to average shoulder conditions during the reporting period last week means that injections should rise to near normal when they are reported by EIA Thursday. However, if current tendencies continue, air conditioning power demand will be well above normal this spring.
