WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Group of Seven finance ministers and central bank governors agreed to monitor developments in Europe closely, according to a brief statement from the U.S. Treasury. The finance officials reviewed developments in the global economy and financial markets and "the policy response under consideration, including the progress towards financial and fiscal union in Europe," the statement said. The leaders said they would watch developments ahead of the Group of 20 leaders summit in Mexico in two weeks.
