Thanks G for sharing your experience.
I don't trade dollar; but I make analysis twice a day (one before opening), in a big time frames for possible turning point. And I thought it was today; at least I knew that it'd kick before the announcement. It pointed me to focus on crude.
I may be wrong in the long-term; however, it served my immediate intra-day goal. :)
