Here is a Daily chart of the 3 main Grains to show relative performance. The one Grain related trade that outperformed all these Grains hands down was the fertilizer stocks such as NYSE:POT. The bullish seasonal trend typically begins a run up in late June onwards. While POT is the most recognized there are others as well including an ETF of a bunch of junior fertilizer stocks ETF:SOIL. They can all be bought in any quantity just like a stock and left in even a tax exempt self directed retirement account without using any questionable leverage. Just one more way to skin a cat. I would overlay POT on this chart of the Grains but to show it the grains would be almost a flat line compared to POT due to its out performance.
