WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Foreigners bought a net $50.1 billion in long-term securities in May, up from $27.9 billion in April, the Treasury Department said, as investors flocked to U.S. government securities. In the key Treasury sector, overseas investors were net buyers of $45.9 billion in securities, up from $38.6 billion in April.
