Gold ends at seven-month high (by Claudia Assis)
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures on Thursday ended at seven-month high, rebounding strongly from dips earlier in the week and as gold prices in euros and swiss francs hit a record. Gold for December delivery (gcz2) rose $26.90, or 1.5%, to settle at $1,780.50 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. That was gold's highest settlement since late February.
