I see nothing wrong.
Simply making certain that they pay their "fair share".
Your neighbor's household has twice the income as yours. However, you and your family live a Spartan lifestyle in order to set aside (save/invest) money.
You keep your thermostat at 60 degrees fahrenheit in the winter (actually, you turn it down to fifty when you leave the house) ... and this is a yankee state. You do not run your airconditioning, even during the hottest of summer days.
Your family never goes to a movie or out to eat. Vacation? Perish the thought.
Your neighbor drives a Benz and his wife a Beamer. Their family goes out, as a unit, three times a week and the adults go out, weekly, for date night. 78 in the winter and central air running constantly from late April/early May through mid September.
Two vacations a year.
Your household has acquired, through your thrift, real estate holdings, stock portfolio and several hundred thousand dollars, liquid, in the bank.
Your neighbor? What is in their 401k and pensions are their assets and they STILL carry a mortgage on their home.
Is that fair?
Heck no .... YOU need to pay your fair share.
That's what is done in the united states of America ... why should Cyprus be any different?
