This is not a new story, it's old news, has been going on since 2006 and all branches of the govt. have known about it all along. I remember reading back in 2005 that the NSA was in the process of building sites for the purpose of collecting data. I don't know why the story didn't cause much ruckus back then and the media and public is just now catching on to it. It's like there was a 8 year delayed reaction from the news media. Very weird.
