AI is quite different than the algos. It, algos, is a recreation of the old specialist system where trade insight was predicated by having the book (of orders). But no book, no problem. Thanks to millisecond front running, the jump is back in play. Hard to give up old traditions. It is making a mess of the markets to the extent that hardly a day passes without busted trades in some market. At least the old fat specialists knew when to stop, the machines have no such governor. What happens when code with Street schooling looks at the past and runs without control.
Too many AI programs on the market to suggest value. The retail software market is the last resort to try to recoup value for the many hours spent on programming.
The alphabet guy got both barrels here. I do believe he gets where he wants to go eventually, but it can be a wild ride. Not suitable for most and certainly not for those who seek immediate fulfillment.
I would say to look closely at how markets work and work with something that works and makes sense to you. Without this you are lost. CO
