Hey Wayne
As a retail trader, we only get to see half the picture. That makes it impossible to trade the order book. We only see the buy/bid LIMITS below the last price, and the sell/ask LIMITS above the last price. We're not privy to the buy STOPS above or the sell STOPS below the last price.
The orders we "see" are passive orders, not necessarily pushing/pulling the price action.
