I certainly have become that way over the last 20 years or so. It's even worse though because I just cold turkeyed a friend down the street a couple of years ago. He sends over wine and well wishes and his wife sees my wife but no go with him anymore for me. Just picked up bad vibes at our last get together and that sealed the deal. I also fit the profile of the usage of all kinds of mind-benders since 1970. Right around Kent State, I fell in with the right/wrong crowd.
