In the currency markets today, the U.S. dollar dropped following a strong but below-expectation October U.S. jobs report as traders took profits on the greenback’s multi-month rally.
The greenback fell 0.66 percent against the Japanese yen, to 114.44 yen, rotating down from Thursday’s seven-year high of 115.49.

In the U.S. markets today, stocks ended the day little changed, pressured by uncertainty in health care stocks and Disney shares, even as October payrolls data pointed to a strong economy in the face of slow global growth.
The Dow added 19.46 points or 0.11 percent, the S&P 500 gained 0.71 points or 0.03 percent, and the Nasdaq lost 5.94 points or 0.13 percent.
