James' annual recipe

I hope James won't mind my doing this in his absents.

Tis the season for my annual egg nog post : recipe *PIC*

for 3 quarts: note add extra booze to increase amount
you need the following for 1 recipe :
6 eggs , separated
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon REAL vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 +++ cup brandy :note better brandy better egg nog
1/2+++ cup rum : same note as brandy
3 cups whipping cream
2 cups whole milk
another 1/4 cup sugar
more nutmeg

this needs to be done a day in advance of consumption

Beat egg yolks until thick and yellow colored , gradually add 3/4 cup sugar,vanilla,and
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg..... beat well at medium speed with electric blender , slowly add
brandy and rum .... CHILL 8 HOURS
place chilled mixture in a punch bowl ,stir in cream and milk.

beat egg whites at room temp in a large mixing bowl until soft peaks form.... gradually
add 1/4 cup sugar and beat until stiff(no jokes blondie). fold whites into chilled mixture ..
sprinkle with nutmeg add more booze to taste
