Oil Trading *LINK*

HI,

Iam a beginner in trading industry,Have a doubt about oil trading in CME exchange. This may seems to be bad question but i take this forum to ask.Suppose I buy oil from CL 01-15.I hold it for long position say one year.Then I want to sell oil.so in this case I can sell oil in which contract at that time . Is it CL 01-16 or CL 02-16. As both are open at same time?
