Retail commodity brokers - history

There are very few these days.

When I started in the biz in the mid- seventies, we made more money than the stock jockeys.

As time moved on into the mid/latter 80s, the stock and bond folks made more.

kinda embarrassing for commodity A/Es.

Most of the brokerage firms left the retail commodities by the mid 90s or so.

Stock and bond A/Es had become kings.

Have a good evening.
