If your area is anything like here ... best to gitcherself some fencing in place.

Don't even think that five feet'll do ... Deer fencing is seven feet high for a reason.

We (actually ... it's my wife ... this is one thing that my wife does do) has gardens on three of our properties. Deer will walk down the street or road, mid day five to seven abreast.
