My backyard, although slightly over an acre ... a goodly share is a ravine running down to my creek. Way to steep for me to access and egress .... so, the remainder of the backyard is less (or at or about ... haven't perused the survey in a while) than half an acre.

I use a push reel mower ... it's kinda fun. Front yard???? I do use a self-propelled rotary. I ain't quite old enough to give in to gittin' a rider ... but every once in a while I give it some thought.

I like those zero turn, stand behind (stand or walk) ones. Almost all of my neighbors use landscaping/lawn service companies ... watchin' those guys fly looks kinda fun.
