Dirt,
I just finished reading "How To Trade Stocks" by Richard Smitten. His book was a biography of Jesse Livermore. Looks like you also just read the same book.
He includes Livermore's trade logs, which are interesting. Smitten was so "smitten" by Livermore's strategy, that he launched a trading blog based on JL's methodology. Don't know how successful it was.
I like the passage where he describes arranging with his bank to be locked in the bank vault over the weekends, where he could see and feel his money spread out over several tables. An odd duck to be sure - but a VERY savvy trader. I remember the story about his cotton trade. Not only did he trade on a tip - he got out too early and missed a profit of a couple of million dollars when cotton soared.
Good read!
