I know no one gives a flying flip about this and it sure as hell isn't going to make me any money but...I set a new personal record in solving the Rubik's cube.

That's a time that gets a soul in the "pretty damned good" category. woo hooo
The record time set by some punk kid is just under 5 seconds!
To realistically compete in a speed cubing tournament(yes, they actually have such a thing) you need to be sub 15 seconds to stand a chance. To watch these kids do these things that fast is pretty impressive. Personally, my old brain and failing eye hand coordination just can't see it that fast. It's a young punk thing.
Why do I spin the mighty cube? I find that, as I sit here waiting for a pattern to emerge, it helps me burn off nervous energy. I think, but have absolutely no proof, that it is probably good for the old man mind and it helps with dexterity of the hands. Who knows?
