Hi R,
I've been meaning to ask you, have you ever done any work with following market groupings? For example here is a chart of the currencies and gold. All I know for sure about groupings, or what we might call 'flocking" behavior is that when the markets are converging together it's a great time to trade, and when they are diverging not so much. I lot of analysts also call this a 'heat map" but in my experience the winning percentage from buying the leader or selling the laggard, as heat mappers instruct is no different than your average lagging indicator.
