I was really surprised how much I enjoyed Texas during my road tip there last vacation.

To get the full appreciation of the place you gotta live there a while. The neph went out there once...stayed a few months and came running home to the Nashville Dell. Not till they forced him back out there by doing away with his job here did he stay long enough for Texas to get into him. I guess it took several years before Texas became his home. Now, it takes an act of congress to get him back for a visit.

To make things worse...I caught him saying something good about the University of Texas' football team...splitting his loyalty between them and The University of Tennessee...a unforgivable blasphemous act!!

I knew then that he was lost to Texas.

This time next year I have to go out there for his wedding.
