talking about ones "business" especially your financial business was taboo when I was growing up. At least that's how I was raised. It is rude to talk about your good fortune unless asked...even then follow rule one...don't talk about your personal affairs. To speak in generalities...as in...how to be successful...is Ok...but...how much do you make...how much are you worth? Noneya...as in, none ya business.
