TFC Commodity Trading Forum

Hi All,

I've been idly watching bitcoin from the sidelines. it is interesting how it is becoming legitimized through its recognition and futures trading in the CME and CBOE. I'm one of those guys who has been thinking "shoulda coulda" all along. Now I'm glad I didn't buy.

Is bitcoin a legitimate investment, or a speculative instrument of the purest sort, or is it just heroin for gamblers? Not being tied to anything of value, and not being backed by any agency or government means that its value has no rationale or reason. It seems crazy to me. (And yet seductive)
