MLK death day... *LINK*
I was in Memphis when he was shot. Lived there at the time, as a kid. It was a big deal nation wide...it was a bigger deal in Memphis, as you can imagine.
It was the only time I can remember my dad being nervous of his surroundings...man feared nothing or nobody.
Anyway, they were foolishly supposed to vote to ban bump stocks in TN yesterday. Thankfully, it failed. Why? The democrat that was supposed to second the thought decided to go back to Memphis to start remembrances of MLK death day. OK.
Thanks for that. Banning bump stocks is stupid anyway even though, IMHO, bump stocks are stupid. Long before Las Vegas, when non-gunners had never even heard of the things, I thought they were stupid. Personally, if I wanted to turn a gun into something that mimicked full auto, I'd get me a small DC motor and attach a triangular or square shape do-boper on the motor that would activate the trigger each time a triangular or square point spun past the trigger. Much more effective and controllable.
But...even at that...if I was to give it some thought, even if all guns were gone, I'd come up with something much more effective than a gun. As an example...The Murrah Building...9-11...the Bath School bombing, still the deadliest school killing in history and that was done in 1927. As usual, all this ban guns talk is nothing more than the liberals wanting to disarm us like their communistic dictator brethren they so identify with.
