I always liked Mama Bush...not overly so and not for being the Mama of a husband President and a Son President but because she seemed to be "real" and seemed to always comport herself in a dignified manner.

I guess I can understand the "pomp" associated with her death...but it seems like making a show out of her funeral...and any other "government dignitary" is to over glorify the government. Maybe it's because no matter the level of government they attain, I still look at them as my servant. I am the public, after all.

So I don't get the harrumph.

I found this story to be worthy of awe...not that they are standing their guard over a "government dignitary" or even Mama Bush but because they are doing it because this is what they do. You're charged with a job...see it to the end. I respect that and them for their respect of the job.
