I have no blunderbuss but I did let a pound can of black powder sit around for many years and when I put a match to it...it went kabwoooosssh...just shy of Kaboom. Had I contained it, even to the slightest degree, I have no doubt it would have attained KABOOM status.

It will keep...so long as you...keep yer powder dry!
