incorrect on the forest clearing except to say "clearing" may not be a precise word for what they used to do before the greenies put and end to it...maybe it is called Forest Management. That being removing dead trees...maintaining fire breaks...and access roads. All of those were curtailed or eliminated all together. Thi stupidity was not limited to California, either. The green idiocy was spread far and wide with similar outcomes.

One good thing about being old is...you can say...I remember the debate 40 years ago when they started implementing the changes. The main argument against the greenie way was...the crap will build up and create huge uncontrollable fars. Big fars!
